2015 was a landmark year for Seward Alaska and the local band, Blackwater Railroad Company. After the May release of their sophomore album, Sound of Home, Blackwater sold more albums, played for more people and enjoyed more media coverage than any band in the state. Through it all, they have maintained their loyalty and admiration for the city that launched their burgeoning musical career three short years ago.
The next 12 months project exponential growth of the band’s reach and popularity. With a national tour, release of a third album, appearance on national media outlets and their featured spot on the major motion picture soundtrack, Sugar Mountain, Blackwater will soon be seen by millions of people around the country.
